So, when the family discovers that steam can move things, they invent the first ever steam carriage. The villagers are amazed with this new invention, but the Cugnots forgot one small detail on the carriage… BREAKS! / When “professional actress” Hilda Hippo doesn’t get the lead role in the school play, her dreams of fame are shattered. Hilda’s sure all she needs is a break, and boy does she get it. Hilda finds herself all alone on the “Cooking in Busytown” set at the Busytown Broadcasting Center, and she has a field day cooking up a storm, while all her friends tune in for the funny show. |

It’s Huckle, Lowly, and Bananas who figure out that something is not right when the town clock strikes thirteen, and with Sergeant Murphy’s help, they rescue Mr. Tic Toc and set Busytown on the right time. / Eager Beaver is a soldier who would much rather play than work. So, when he is ordered to dig out the tool shed, clean it up, and count every tool, Eager Beaver turns it into a game – and he invents hockey. And when the other soldiers give it a go, especially the Sergeant, they think Eager Beaver’s right… playing is a lot more fun than working. / Busytown has its first ever automatic car wash and Scotty Dog has set it up just right. Mr. Frumble and his car are vacuumed, scrubbed, soaked, washed, and dried, and the pickle car ends up flatter than a pancake. Mr. Frumble suggests to Scotty that he get his gas pumps fixed before he opens for business. |

However, none of the kids show up: Horace is having a checkup, Jonas is visiting the school he may go to, and Loulou has a morning playdate with a neighbour's daughter. Wimzie goes crazy being alone, pestering Yaya and generally being underfoot. Finally she begins to realize that being alone isn't as boring as she first thought when you allow your imagination to take over and entertain you. |

Her attempts are mostly funny and totally off the mark. Meanwhile, Yaya finds her old guitar in the closet and plays it beautifully. Wimzie wants to learn to play like her grandma and gets her first lesson. However, she quickly becomes frustrated and gives up, despite Yaya's advice that any skill is something you have to work hard at. Wimzie thinks more along the lines of: "If I can't get it right away, I don't want to do it." On the other hand, despite all her failed attempts, Loulou doggedly continues trying to draw that picture of Wimzie and finally produces a good likeness, and is lauded for it. The lesson isn't lost on Wimzie. In the final scene, at night, we hear the stumbling scales of a guitar playing. This time, the young player steadfastly continues practicing despite her mistakes. |
